Happy Holidays from SSCS
Happy Holidays from SSCS…and the staff at go-go’s.
The holidays are upon us, and everyone here at SSCS hopes that the season finds you and yours in good spirits and a festive mood, ready to partake of all that makes this time of year so special.
For that matter, so do the folks at go-go’s, the mascot convenience store of SSCS, who’ve we written about, from time to time, on this blog.
To make this time of year extra special, stalwarts Mr. Habib, who owns the enterprise, and Joe Smith, graduate student and night manager, got together with some of their most famous visitors to pose for a special holiday portrait. In case you’ve forgotten who these interesting individuals are, here’s a brief description of each and a link to the blog post in which they were introduced.
- Owlsome the Owl really didn’t visit go-go’s, but he was too cute to forget. He led off this post about owls in the C-store industry.
- Mr. Habib chose October of 2014 to install new technology in his convenience store. Little did he know that the Angry Computer and friends would stage a technological revolt against him that had to be put down. Fortunately, Since A.C. posed for this portrait, I guess there’s no hard feelings.
- Last St. Patrick’s Day, a mischievous leprechaun gave a go-go’s customer the gift that kept on giving. Mr. Habib and Joe were only too glad to have him drop by to provide a little luck for the Holidays.
- Last, but not least, three of the 100 fairy godmothers that converged on go-go’s last Halloween took time out of their busy schedule to stop by to contribute some Holiday cheer. Make sure you say, “Hi,” when you see them. You don’t want to make them mad.
Well, the SSCS social media department is going to shut down from now until Monday. Have a great time this Holiday weekend and we’d like to extend best wishes to all our readers for their support and encouragement. It is, indeed, the most wonderful time of the year.
