Gifts under the SSCS Christmas Tree

Gifts under (and at the top of) the SSCS Christmas Tree.

The Christmas holidays are a time to reflect on that for which we’re grateful. It’s certainly true for the SSCS team.

We live in an era where business fads come and go and corporate performance can swing wildly between peaks and valleys. As for the general economic environment, well, it appears increasingly hard to predict. Given these realities, it’s nice to count on a little stability in your life. For us, that stability is SSCS.

During our almost 35 years of existence we’ve strived to provide tangible worth to our customers, minus hyperbole and pie-in-the-sky promises. Our powerful software packages are always evolving to better meet the needs of our users, but there is another aspect of our culture that is even more notable: technical and post-sales support you can literally reach out and touch, from a team of professionals, many of whom have worked here for 10, 20, 30, or more years. We get to know our products and our customers for the long term—which breeds technical expertise and a genuine concern over how the businesses we serve are performing. That’s stability.

SSCS colleagues also benefit from working for a company that embodies the American Dream. Our founder grew up in the petroleum retail business, had an idea, reached out to best professionals he could find, and step by measured step built the company you see today. No gimmicks; no undue financial leveraging; just solid business principles—and stability. It’s the underlying strength of SSCS, a characteristic that provides a strong foundation our employees can use to build good lives for themselves and their families. That may be the best Christmas present anyone can ask for; it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Before the blog signs off for the rest of the year, we’d like to wish Happy Holidays to our customers, colleagues, and partners. We hope you find us the solid, dependable type, and we look forward to helping you continue to succeed in 2015. We’re thankful to have the opportunity!
