The Greatest Thanks of All

Here’s a Thanksgiving shout out to our customers—the reason we’re here in the first place!

Things never really get all that quiet at SSCS, but the Thanksgiving Week does provide time to reflect on that for which we’re thankful. For us, as a company, that’s an easy one: our customers and the modern industry they’re helping create.

Our customers have witnessed all sorts of dynamic, and, in many cases, unexpected changes to their industry. They have come through all the better for it—to the point that they successfully compete in diversified retail food channels.

This steady, growing success has provided the best possible foundation for SSCS to also grow and succeed, which is the way it’s been since 1981. The c-stores that use our technology are the reason we’re here, which provides a pretty fundamental reason for us to be thankful.

Customers also help make our software better. The SSCS team is very active in finding out what is really going on at the store, and what it might need in terms of technology, even as those needs change over time. Our customers are always generous with their expertise and time, feedback that helps our software align with their needs. That’s another reason to be thankful.

Finally, there’s the personal relationships we’ve forged for the long haul, largely because our staff is so tenured, and our customers so long term. A unique bond forms over time, one that often transcends business interests. That gives us yet another reason to be grateful.

Keeping that in mind, SSCS wants to take this opportunity to wish all our customers, and their families and loved ones, a Happy Thanksgiving. After all, you’re the reason we’re here in the first place.
