SSCS Announces CDB 7.5.20

 

Barcode scanning sheets lead off the latest release of our flagship back office system.

COVID-19 measures, in some form or other, look to be with us for awhile. Don’t worry, though, SSCS software developers (and the rest of us for that matter!) have been at it steadily, with many of us moving our offices to our homes for the interim.

The most recent result of SSCS‘s unwavering focus is what you are reading about right now, the release of the Computerized Daily Book (CDB) 7.5.20, the latest update to our flagship back office system.

At the top of the list are a couple of enhancements that add flexibility to our inventory scanning solution—both related to barcodes.

For starters, we’ve added a format that displays the dollar sign on the barcode, which you can see displayed below. As with the majority of CDB improvements, it was added at the request of our customers.

And while we’re on the subject of barcodes, CDB 7.5.20 provides a new output format for the Inventory Reorder report. Designed for those who find it convenient to scan an amount of user-defined items into inventory off of a sheet, users simply select a check box to get the desired result:

In addition, you’ll find plenty of other new features to explore in CDB 7.5.2o:

• Our EDI feature is now capable of receiving and converting Pre-Delivery Notices (PDNs).
• The Department Site Totals and Line Items Site Totals reports now export to CSV and tab-delimited formats.
• We’ve added the ability to map and post fuel grade sales from the Passport point-of-sale to the CDB, broken out by totalizer.
• Report packages can now be run automatically at end of month.
• A sub-department can now be associated with an expense.
