The latest events of interest for our convenience store customers.

Computerized Daily Book 7.5.18 rolls out

The latest version of SSCS‘s Computerized Daily Book back office system is currently rolling out. This is a small release containing enhancements requested by users, including:

  • The ability to exclude fuel charges from the Paidout report that is run at end of shift or end of month.
  • Merchandise Loyalty Values, as posted from the Radiant point-of-sale (POS), are now reported in the CDB’s Trend Analysis report.
  • A Limit Vendor to Sites combo box has been added to the Vendor Maintenance window to limit the sites available to specific vendors during the creation of a Paidout or Payment. This helps avoid confusion when large enterprises have different vendors supplying the same item to different sites.
  • P-poll users can now map and post fuel sales from the Passport to the CDB using totalizers.

New SSCS Business Development Workshops Coming in September

SSCS’s next business development workshop for convenience store owners is less than a month away. Our goal as a company is to demystify technology for operators who wish to put it to use to make their convenience store more profitable and efficient. The program has proven to be a well-attended success.

“This is a unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with industry professionals who have not yet ventured into technology for their convenience store,” explains SSCS Sales Associate Shon Allen, who will be co-host of the event. “The presentations have been satiating the hunger that many operators have for automating their stores.”

The next SSCS workshop is scheduled for September 17 in Arlington, Washington at the Best Western Plus. Lunch will be provided to participants.

“The seminars build relationships as well as knowledge, which is important not only with current clients, but with individuals that are thinking of becoming one,” states SSCS Sales Manager Shawn Herrick. “Meeting people on their own turf makes it feasible to visit an attendee’s site after the seminar, if necessary, to see what their business is like and how we may be able to help.”

If you are planning on attending, you can register now by calling 1-800-972-7727 ext 4715.
